Fashion is currently one of the world's topmost crucial markets. Style is one of the key ways in which people communicate their individuality and stand out from their surroundings. All new fashions appear on stage with each New Year that comes and goes and all try to be vibrant and trendy than the ones they saw last year. Inspiration is everywhere from online stores to printed magazines. The freedom to articulate one seems to be something present in the history of the world.

People are becoming extremely judgmental these days and offer more priority to their physical attributes than the mannerism and character of an individual. Everyone around us likes to dress up in the latest fashion and style. He/she would be inspired by the others. New types of robes, fashion hairstyles, accessories and rage among the people are added. The people of our country look up to the famous as icons of style. They keep an overview of each emerging trend and try to integrate it. The way the celebrities style have made their t-shirts, skirts, suits, accessories, belts and jewelry highly common among the masses. Their designer wear is replicated and sold like hot buns in the store. These patterns last for several weeks or months, replacing them with new ones. With changing modes, people do not hesitate to change their wardrobe.

Today, the west has influenced most fashion trends in Pakistan. The times have gone when only Sarees, Kameez and Kurta pajamas have been worn by women. The country's youngsters are influenced by western culture, and this reflects not only their thoughts but also their fashion choices. The girls have various styles of western clothes including jeans, T-shirts, dresses, frocks and shorts. Boys like to wear pants, shorts, jeans, T-shirts instead of Pakistani clothing. The west clothes look more relaxed and liberating and are thus a trend.

We did not only draw inspiration from the west; we influenced them in fashion as well. In western countries, the fashionable cotton Kurtas and designer Sarees became very popular. Flaunting a beautiful headpiece is also a trend among the west women.

Fashion is indeed an integral part of people's lives today. It is considered a way of expression. Fashion is now becoming more than just a style but almost a standard for everyone. As Bill Cunningham puts it, “Fashion is the armor to survive the reality of everyday life”.
